Puppys are carnivores, but these creatures are sporadically seen consumption grass. Why do dogs eat grass? Is the dog hungry? Grass consumption is a normal canine manners even if some owners would be astonished as several dogs do not show this behavior. Although it was speculated that since disciplined dogs no longer need to hunt to live on, the pattern of eating is nutrient deficit. A dog will have a meal grass to fill up the nutrient deficiency. This is most likely the cause why some city dwellers supply their dogs with grass supplements. When you let the dog out to do its business in the yard the dog may take the opportunity to munch on a mouthful of grass. To the dog the lawn is one big salad plate.
Dogs eat about anything. To a dog the spoiled food in the junk cans, the creature poop, the unearthed dead animals are delicious delicacies. No surprise these animals suffer from abdomen upsets from time to time. A dog eats grass to produce vomiting. This is their way of expelling substances that do not have the same opinion with their digestive systems.
Owners need not be too concerned in relation to the grass consumption habit of their dog. It is after all better than eating poop. But, it is vital for the dog owners to confirm that the grass is free from toxic chemicals that are destructive to the dog.
